The Lynda Tam Guiding Light and Legacy Award
The Lynda Tam Guiding Light and Legacy Award has been established to honour Lynda Tam, a long-serving leader at York University and with the Faculty of Arts, Media, Performance and Design. This award is presented annually to an advising, peer leadership, or a student services professional, who embodies Lynda Tam’s creativity, imagination, and ability to positively guide others and programs to deliver student service excellence. Nominations can be submitted here.
As a champion of student’s creativity, Lynda often commissioned works of art from students each year. To support her legacy, we are calling for students to submit a piece of art work to be commissioned in honour of Lynda. The selected design will be chosen by a committee including members from the Advising Leader and Peer Leader Communities of Practice. The selected designer will receive a retail value of $300.
